COVID-19 Data Dashboard
The Sanders Unified School District No. 18 (SUSD) believes that transparency is vital for all stakeholders and continues to provide updated communication and resources for families regarding response efforts to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Individuals who test positive are excluded from participation in any in-person or on-campus activities until SUSD determines that the individual meets the return criteria set by state and local health agencies.
Communications regarding positive cases, direct and indirect exposures, and personal health information of staff and students fall within FERPA/HIPAA guidelines and the privacy rights of students and team members must be protected. When a positive case is reported to any SUSD school, it must be reported to the Navajo Nation Department of Health and SUSD conducts contact tracing. Upon determining a positive case, SUSD communicates in the following manner:
- Notify every person who has been identified as a “close contact” and all person at the SUSD facility regarding possible in-direct contact with the positive individual. Individuals in close contact with a COVID-19 positive individual will need to start self-quarantine right away and reach out to the school. The notification will include information regarding symptoms, testing information, and SUSD contact details for further questions or concerns.
This date will be updated weekly and is listed by school and sites.
